Prophet Posse è un gruppo hip hop statunitense formatosi a New York negli anni '90. Considerati uno dei gruppi più influenti della scena underground di quel periodo, sono noti per il loro stile crudo e politico, spesso incentrato su temi sociali come la povertà, la violenza e la discriminazione. Il gruppo è composto da tre membri principali: Prophet Posse (MC), DJ 2-Live Crew e The Alchemist (produttore). Tra i loro album più importanti ricordiamo "Body Parts" (1994) e "Return 1" (1996), entrambi accolti con grande entusiasmo dalla critica. La loro musica ha influenzato diverse generazioni di artisti hip hop, contribuendo a definire l'estetica e il sound del movimento underground newyorkese.
