Ophthalamia è un gruppo musicale formatosi nel 1989. Il genere musicale che caratterizza la loro produzione è il death metal. La formazione ha visto la partecipazione di membri come IT e Shadow. Tra i loro lavori più noti figurano gli album *To Elishia*, *A Long Journey*, *Dominion*, *A Journey in Darkness* e *Via Dolorosa*. Ophthalamia si distingue per un sound cupo e aggressivo, tipico del death metal degli anni '90.
