Asphyxia è un gruppo musicale formatosi nel 1989. Attivo principalmente negli anni '90, il gruppo si distingue per un sound thrash metal aggressivo e melodico, influenzato dal panorama hardcore punk. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Exit: Reality" e "Anarchy", contenuti rispettivamente nell'album di debutto omonimo del 1990 e nel secondo lavoro "The Final Chapter" del 1992. Asphyxia ha contribuito a definire il panorama metal italiano degli anni '90, pur non raggiungendo una popolarità mainstream.
