I Red House Painters sono un gruppo musicale statunitense di genere alternative rock, formatosi a San Francisco nel 1988 dal cantautore Mark Kozelek. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da atmosfere malinconiche e introspettive, influenzato dal folk americano e dalla musica indie. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Katy Song", "Grace Cathedral Park" e "Old Ramon's House". Kozelek ha collaborato con altri artisti come Joanna Newsom e The Decemberists. I Red House Painters hanno pubblicato diversi album di successo, tra cui "Songs for a Blue Guitar" (1993) e "Down Colorful Hill" (1998). Il gruppo si è sciolto nel 2001, ma Kozelek continua ad essere attivo con progetti solisti.
