Harry Forster Chapin (1942-1981) è stato un cantautore statunitense noto per le sue canzoni folk rock che spesso affrontavano temi sociali e politici. La sua carriera fu tragicamente interrotta il 16 luglio 1981, all'età di 38 anni, a seguito di un incidente stradale che gli causò un arresto cardiaco.
