Angela Martínez, nota artisticamente come Angie Martinez, è una rapper e DJ statunitense di origine portoricana. Nata a New York nel 1972, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '90 come radio speaker per la stazione Hot 97. La sua voce potente e il suo stile rap incisivo hanno rapidamente attirato l'attenzione del pubblico, spingendola a collaborare con artisti di spicco come Jay-Z, Nas e Big Pun. Nel 1996 ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto "Queen of the South", un successo commerciale che la consacrò come una delle voci più importanti della scena hip hop femminile. Martinez è stata anche una pioniera nel campo del rap femminista, affrontando temi sociali e politici nelle sue canzoni.
