Nightmare Before Christmas è un film d'animazione in stop-motion del 1993 diretto da Henry Selick, con la storia e i personaggi ideati da Tim Burton. La sceneggiatura è di Caroline Thompson. Il film, prodotto da Touchstone Pictures e Skellington Productions, racconta le avventure di Jack Skellington, il Re dell'Halloween Town, che scopre un nuovo mondo: il Natale. Inizialmente entusiasta, Jack decide di portare la sua visione del Natale a Halloween Town, con risultati disastrosi. Il film è diventato un classico cult grazie alla sua atmosfera gotica e al suo originale mix di horror e magia natalizia. Tra i brani più famosi ci sono "This Is Halloween", "What's This?" e "Sally's Song".
