Tim Burton (Timothy Walter Burton) è un regista, produttore cinematografico, sceneggiatore e animatore statunitense nato il 25 agosto 1958 a Burbank, California. Noto per le sue opere caratterizzate da ambientazioni fiabesche e gotiche, spesso incentrate su temi di rilievo sociale come l'emarginazione e la solitudine, Burton ha conquistato un posto di spicco nel panorama cinematografico contemporaneo. Il suo stile distintivo, riconoscibile nell'uso di colori vivaci, personaggi bizzarri e una vena di dark fantasy, ha influenzato generazioni di artisti e appassionati del cinema.
