Sir Roger Harry Daltrey (born 1 March 1944) is an English singer, actor, and musician best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band The Who. Daltrey's powerful voice and energetic stage presence have made him a legendary figure in rock music. He has also enjoyed a successful acting career, appearing in films such as 'Tommy' (1975) and 'Quadrophenia' (1979). Daltrey was knighted in 2006 for his services to music. The Who are considered one of the most influential rock bands of all time, known for their innovative use of instruments, powerful live performances, and groundbreaking albums such as 'My Generation' (1965) and 'Who's Next' (1971).
