Gli Animals furono una band rock britannica formatasi a Newcastle upon Tyne nel 1962. Tra i loro successi più famosi figurano "House of the Rising Sun", "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" e "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". Gli Animals si sciolsero nel 1966, ma Burdon continuò a perseguire una carriera musicale di successo. Il gruppo è considerato uno dei pilastri del rock britannico degli anni '60, influenzando generazioni di musicisti.
