Jim Johnston è un compositore e musicista statunitense, noto soprattutto per aver composto le colonne sonore di numerosi eventi e programmi della World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Johnston ha iniziato la sua carriera come musicista freelance negli anni '80, lavorando con diverse compagnie discografiche. Nel 1987 è entrato a far parte della WWE, allora conosciuta come WWF, dove ha composto le colonne sonore per gli eventi più importanti dell'azienda, tra cui WrestleMania e SummerSlam. Le sue composizioni sono diventate iconiche nel mondo del wrestling, riconoscibili per il loro ritmo energico e la melodia memorabile. Tra i brani più famosi composti da Johnston ci sono "The WWE Theme Song", "WrestleMania Entrance Theme" e "King of the Ring Theme". Oltre alle colonne sonore, Johnston ha anche composto musica per film e videogiochi.
