Kool Savas, pseudonimo di Savas Yurderi, è un rapper tedesco nato a Berlino nel 1978. Considerato uno dei pionieri del rap tedesco, ha contribuito in modo significativo alla diffusione e all'evoluzione del genere nel paese. La sua musica si caratterizza per testi introspettivi e spesso politici, con influenze provenienti dal jazz, dalla soul e dall'hip hop classico americano. Kool Savas ha collaborato con numerosi artisti tedeschi e internazionali, tra cui Bushido, Fler, e DJ Kay Slay. Il suo album di debutto, "Der Pate", pubblicato nel 2001, è considerato un punto di svolta nella storia del rap tedesco. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi figurano "Die Wahrheit", "Gangsta Rap", e "Ich bin der Boss".
