Primal Scream è un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Glasgow nel 1982. Considerati pionieri del movimento shoegaze negli anni '90, hanno poi esplorato generi come l'elettronica e la psichedelia. Il loro sound si caratterizza per una potente energia rock, influenze psicodali e un uso innovativo di sintetizzatori. La formazione originale comprendeva Bobby Gillespie (voce), Andrew Innes (chitarra), Jim Beattie (basso) e Martin Duffy (tastiere). Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Loaded", "Movin' On Up" e "Come Together". L'album "Screamadelica" del 1991, considerato un capolavoro del genere acid house, ha consacrato il gruppo al successo internazionale. Primal Scream hanno collaborato con artisti come David Bowie, The Jesus and Mary Chain e Mani (ex Stone Roses). La band continua ad essere attiva, pubblicando nuovi album e suonando in tour in tutto il mondo.
