I don't really like how I feel
Watchin' someone else's life
Then I go comparin' mine
To a glossy highlight reel
And it's always sunny weather
They're so well put-together
Seems like everybody's livin' the dream
And I'm still in last night's makeup
The kids are wakin' me up
I've got Cheerios stuck to my feet
So what? I'm not picture-perfect
It's messy, but it's workin' just the way it is
So what? It's the scars that make us
There's beauty in the chaos of how we really live
I may not influence another, be the world's greatest mother
Or a model wife
But I don't need a pretty picture to know I've got a beautiful life
Like Alice down the rabbit hole
Chasin' what's uncatchable
Temptations each way that I turn
I used to feel ten feet tall
Now I'm shrinkin' oh-so-small
When the hell am I gonna learn?
So what? I'm not picture-perfect
It's messy, but it's workin' just the way it is
So what? It's the scars that make us
There's beauty in the chaos of how we really live
I may not influence another, be the world's greatest mother
Or a model wife
But I don't need a pretty picture to know I've got a beautiful life
There's a million ways to frame it
But I would never change it
Even if I haven't figured it out
My inner critic starts to creep up
I'm just tryin' to keep up
All I wanna do is shout
So what? I'm not picture-perfect
It's messy, but it's workin' just the way it is
So what? It's the scars that make us
There's beauty in the chaos of how we really live
I may not influence another, be the world's greatest mother
Or a model wife
But I don't need a pretty picture to know I've got a beautiful life
I don't need a pretty picture to know I've got a beautiful life
I don't need a pretty picture to know I've got a beautiful life
