Obsidian Gate è un gruppo musicale formatosi nel 1994. Il loro genere musicale si colloca nell'ambito del progressive metal e dell'avant-garde metal, caratterizzato da atmosfere dark e sperimentali. Tra i loro album più noti figurano "Colossal Christhunt", "The Nightspectral Voyage" e "The Vehemence". La band ha contribuito a definire il panorama musicale underground degli anni '90 con un sound innovativo e complesso, influenzato da artisti come King Crimson e Tool.
