The Courteeners sono un gruppo musicale indie rock inglese formato a Manchester nel 2006. Il nucleo fondante è composto da Liam Fray (chitarra e voce), Michael Campbell (batteria e cori), Daniel Conan Moores (chitarra) e Mark Cuppello (basso). Provenienti dall'area di Middleton, i quattro musicisti hanno conquistato un seguito fedele grazie al loro sound energico e melodico, influenzato da band come The Smiths e Oasis. I loro testi spesso esplorano temi di amore, perdita, nostalgia e la vita quotidiana a Manchester. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Not Nineteen Forever", "What Took You So Long?" e "You Can't Beat That Feeling". L'album di debutto, "St. Jude", pubblicato nel 2008, ha riscosso un grande successo, raggiungendo la posizione numero 1 nella classifica degli album indipendenti britannici.
