Il gruppo è composto dai cugini Aristos Petrou, noto come Ruby da Cherry, e Scott Arceneaux Jr., che utilizza lo pseudonimo Scrim. Conosciuti per il loro stile oscuro e introspettivo, $uicideboy$ ha guadagnato popolarità grazie a mixtape e album indipendenti pubblicati online. La loro musica esplora temi di depressione, suicidio, violenza e l'alienazione sociale, spesso accompagnata da beat cupi e atmosfere claustrofobiche.
