Tricky, pseudonimo di Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws (nato a Bristol nel 1968), è un musicista britannico noto per il suo stile musicale sperimentale e cupo. La sua voce caratteristica, spesso descritta come sprechgesang sussurrato, si fonde con atmosfere elettroniche, trip hop e influenze dub reggae. Tricky ha collaborato con artisti di spicco come Massive Attack, Björk e Robert Del Naja (3D) dei Massive Attack. Il suo album di debutto, *Maxinquaye* (1995), è considerato un classico del genere trip hop e ha contribuito a definire il sound della scena musicale britannica degli anni '90. Altri album importanti includono *Pre-Millennium Tension* (1996) e *Juxtapose* (2001). Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Tricky figurano "Hell is Round the Corner", "Black Steel" e "Ponderosa".
