GWAR è una band di shock rock statunitense formatasi a Richmond, Virginia, nel 1984. Conosciuta per i suoi costumi elaborati ispirati al cinema di fantascienza e horror, testi volgari e spettacoli teatrali espliciti che rielaborano temi politicamente e moralmente controversi in chiave comica. La band ha vinto due nomination ai Grammy Award. Il loro genere musicale è un mix di heavy metal, punk rock e thrash metal con influenze progressive.
