Shyne, pseudonimo di Moses Michael Levi, nato Jamal Michael Barrow, è un rapper beliziano. Nato a Belize City nel 1978, Shyne ha trascorso la sua infanzia tra il Belize e New York. Dopo aver iniziato a rappare all'età di 12 anni, si trasferisce definitivamente negli Stati Uniti per dedicarsi alla musica. Nel 1999 viene notato da Sean Combs (P. Diddy) che lo firma per la sua etichetta Bad Boy Records. Il suo album di debutto, *Shyne*, pubblicato nel 2000, raggiunge il primo posto nella classifica Billboard 200 grazie al successo dei singoli *Bad Boyz* e *What's Luv?* .
