Sodom sono un gruppo musicale tedesco di thrash metal formatosi a Recklinghausen nel 1982. Considerati uno dei capofila del genere in Germania insieme a Kreator e Destruction, Sodom hanno contribuito a definire il sound grezzo, violento e diretto tipico del thrash metal teutonico. Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da riff aggressivi, testi oscuri e un'energia frenetica che li ha resi uno dei gruppi più influenti della scena thrash mondiale. Il gruppo ha pubblicato oltre 15 album in studio, tra cui "Obsessed by Cruelty" (1987), considerato un classico del genere, e "Agent Orange" (1989), che affronta temi di guerra e violenza. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Perish", "Ausgebombt", e "Bloodbath in Paradise". Sodom hanno collaborato con numerosi artisti del metal, tra cui Slayer e Megadeth, e hanno partecipato a festival internazionali come il Wacken Open Air.
