Careful who you love
I've seen brothers kill they own brother
Tell me who they love
Man, I've seen it all, I done been in dark
Smallest nigga, biggest heart
4AM in Newark we in some tinted sharks
Product of my pain, I still got it when we spinnin'
Why home if he done made it, boy adopted to these trenches
Then rose up out the concrete, a jungle where we livin' at
I done had the baddest of the baddest eatin' chicken shack
They gon' say they love you, they gon' act funny
Family aid with trap money
Think the feds think we buyin' choppers with this rap money
I say I love her, I don't love her
He Newark-made, the streets babysat me for my mother
It's all about a process
They prolly ain't goat me 'cause I ain't died yet
Had foreign bitches pullin' in the projects
Had project bitches hoppin' in foreigns
Shit I done seen gang turn informant
Shit I done seen lames feel important
The real ride alone
A product of my habitat, I feel right at home, nigga feel right at—
Gang!
Grew up in this jungle, they don't love you in these trenches
Niggas ain't your niggas, can't be trustin' on no bitches
Careful who you love, care for who you love
Careful who you love, care for who you love
Grew up in this jungle, they don't love you in these trenches
Niggas ain't your niggas, can't be trustin' on no bitches
Careful who you love, care for who you love
Careful who you love, care for who you love
Capo!
Momma always said to be careful who you love here
That might sound crazy but I be fearful over love
Nigga I been feelin' like Prince sheddin' them tears like a dove
Over the homies that we lost, hope they can hear us up above
(Do doves cry?)
Always been active, went everywhere with the bloods (Eastside!)
I stood tall even in times I had to stare at the judge
Like I'm just tryna stay free, I'm on paper right now
But for the right circumstance I'd pull a caper right now
Avoidin' the pitfalls, but shit I still be gettin' close
And your bitch on Facetime sayin' she make it right now (Nasty!)
It's a scary era where they glorifyin' rats
And the fact they shootin' shots is such a horifyin' stat (Crazy!)
But we at war so I'm sure to ride with gats (Facts!)
Still got to be young boys that'll slide for a stack nigga
Packs around us, this a fortified fact
I keep that 40 in the front and the 45 in the back nigga
Grew up in this jungle, they don't love you in these trenches
Niggas ain't your niggas, can't be trusting on no bitches
Careful who you love, care for who you love
Careful who you love, care for who you love
Grew up in this jungle, they don't love you in these trenches
Niggas ain't your niggas, can't be trusting on no bitches
Careful who you love, care for who you love
Careful who you love, care for who you love
