Cursive è una band indie rock americana proveniente da Omaha, Nebraska. Attiva dal 1997, il gruppo ha pubblicato diversi album di successo su etichetta Saddle Creek Records, diventando un punto di riferimento per la scena emo-rock degli anni 2000. Il loro sound si caratterizza per melodie intricate, testi introspettivi e una forte componente post-hardcore. Tra i brani più noti figurano "The Casualty", "Art Is Hard" e "Like Ships Passing in the Night". L'album di debutto "Summerfest" (1999) ha segnato l'inizio della loro ascesa, seguito da lavori come "Domestica" (2003) e "Happy Hollow" (2006). Cursive è stata una delle band più influenti del movimento emo-rock americano, contribuendo a definire il sound di generi come lo screamo e l'emocore.
