Attivo dal 2007, ha guadagnato popolarità grazie al suo stile rap rilassato e introspettivo, spesso incentrato su temi come il lusso, la vita da strada e l'amore per le automobili. Curren$y è noto per aver collaborato con artisti come Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne e A$AP Rocky. Tra i suoi album più importanti figurano "Pilot Talk", "The Stoned Immaculate" e "New Orleans".
