Maxi Priest, all'anagrafe Max Alfred Elliott, è un cantante e musicista britannico di origini giamaicani. Nato a Londra nel 1961, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '80 con un sound reggae influenzato dal soul e dalla musica dancehall. Il suo successo internazionale è arrivato negli anni '90 con brani come "Close to You" e "Just A Little Bit", che hanno conquistato le classifiche musicali di tutto il mondo.
