Gli Avett Brothers sono un gruppo folk-rock statunitense formatosi a Concord, Carolina del Nord. Il nucleo del gruppo è composto dai fratelli Scott e Seth Avett, rispettivamente voce e chitarra acustica, e Bob Crawford al basso. Completano la formazione Joe Kwon al violoncello (presente nelle registrazioni di *Emotionalism*, 2007) e Mike Marsh alla batteria durante i tour. La loro musica fonde elementi folk tradizionali con influenze bluegrass, country e rock, creando un sound energico e coinvolgente. Tra le canzoni più rappresentative figurano "I And Love And You", "Head Full Of Doubt/Road Full Of Promise" e "Murder In The City". Gli Avett Brothers hanno pubblicato numerosi album di successo, tra cui *Emotionalism*, *I and Love and You* (2009) e *The Carpenter* (2012).
