Powerwolf è un gruppo musicale tedesco di power metal formatosi a Saarbrücken nel 2003. Conosciuti per il loro stile teatrale e le tematiche religiose spesso trattate con ironia e sarcasmo, i Powerwolf hanno conquistato una vasta fanbase internazionale. Le loro canzoni sono caratterizzate da riff heavy, melodie orecchiabili e un'atmosfera cupa e gotica. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "We Drink Your Blood", "Amen and Attack" e "Demons Are a Girl's Best Friend". L'album di debutto, "Return in Bloodred", risale al 2005, seguito da una serie di successi come "Lupus Dei" (2007) e "Blood of the Saints" (2011). I Powerwolf hanno collaborato con artisti come Sabaton e DragonForce. La loro musica è spesso accompagnata da performance live spettacolari, caratterizzate da costumi elaborati e un'energia contagiosa.
