Lightning crested, read your letter
Looked through pinholes to streets unguarded
Panic seeking solitude
Serpents circle in the fountain
Thoughts of things decaying fast
I awake to healthy roses
Violence brings innocent tombs
Liars linger in the soil
Douse?the?sheets,?they'll turn to?ash
This whole thing?will also pass
Danger's laying with the lambs
Draw the signs, we'll build the boats and
Wash away
Just grab something, take hold
The only thing to hold
Stay grounded like the spruce
A little change
Just grab something, take hold
The only thing you know
Stay grounded like the spruce
One day friend, we'll meet again
And hopefully then the Earth is quiet
I'll lay down with you in bed
Loneliness is left for letters
Voices yelling, love is bruised
No one praising bits of silence
Watch as gems, they're holding fall
Dive to catch, the sluice was pulled
It broke that day
Just grab something, take hold
The only thing to hold
Stay grounded like the spruce
A little change
Just grab something, take hold
The only thing you know
Stay grounded like the spruce
Crawling from the serpent in the water
The mirror, the what have we become?
Crawling from the serpent in the water
The mirror, the what have we become?
Crawling from the serpent in the water
The mirror, the what have we become?
Crawling from the serpent in the water
The mirror, the what have we become?
Crawling from the serpent in the water
The mirror, the what have we become?
Crawling from the serpent in the water
The mirror, the what have we become?
Crawling from the serpent in the water
The mirror, the what have we become?
Crawling from the serpent in the water
The mirror, the what have we become?
Once was a good way
A good way was sometimes paved right
Handled with care, we were coming of age
The anythings will do
Twist them off and pass them 'round
Where did it change? Coming of age
We once got a free line
Opportunity radicals
You're on top of your game when you're coming of age
And praise for the underdog
That was you with the good dog
What was its name? Coming of age
Just a frightened mother
Looking for her daughter
Justice, justice wanders
Looking for some shelter
Once on a good day
I had a room and you knew it well
Our games were all grace, we were coming of age
And we were the good news
Now I'm all out but how about you?
Where do we stand? Coming of age
Just a frightened mother
Looking for her daughter
Justice, justice wanders
Looking for some shelter
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Just a frightened mother
Looking for her daughter
Justice, justice wanders
Looking for some shelter
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no, not now
Isn't it now?
Defeat!
Oh no
Isn't it now?
Defeat?
Isn't it?
