Phantom Planet è una rock band alternative originaria della California meridionale. Il gruppo è composto da Alex Greenwald (voce e chitarra ritmica), Darren Robinson (chitarra solista), Sam Farrar (basso) e Jeff Conrad (batteria). La band è nota soprattutto per il brano "California", diventato colonna sonora della serie televisiva Fox "The O.C.".
