Occult è una band olandese di thrash metal attiva dal 1987. Considerati uno dei pilastri del genere nel panorama europeo, hanno contribuito a definire l'aspro e veloce sound thrash con influenze black metal. Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da riff veloci e aggressivi, batteria potente e testi oscuri e provocatori. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The Serpent", "Bloodlust" e "Satanic Rites". L'album di debutto "The Curse" (1989) è considerato un classico del genere thrash metal olandese.
