La nona edizione del talent show musicale Amici di Maria De Filippi è andata in onda nella sua fase iniziale dal 26 settembre 2009 al 27 marzo 2010 su Canale 5 nella fascia pomeridiana dal lunedì al venerdì dalle 16:15 alle 16:50, il sabato pomeriggio con la puntata speciale in onda dalle 14:10 alle 16:00 con la conduzione di Maria De Filippi. Il programma è andato in diretta dal lunedì al sabato dalle 10:00 alle 18:00 su Premium Extra 2. Dal 28 dicembre Amici è approdato anche sul canale digitale Iris tutti i giorni dalle 20:00 alle 21:00. Da domenica 17 gennaio con la prima puntata in prima serata è iniziata la fase serale di questa edizione.
