Okkervil River è un gruppo indie rock statunitense formatosi ad Austin, in Texas, nel 1998. Il loro sound, caratterizzato da una forte influenza folk rock, si distingue per la melodia evocativa e le liriche introspettive di Will Sheff, il frontman della band. Il nome del gruppo deriva da un racconto breve di Tat'jana Tolstaja. Okkervil River ha pubblicato numerosi album in carriera, tra cui "The Stage Names" (2003), "Black Sheep Boy" (2007) e "I Am Very Far", (2013). La band è stata riconosciuta per la sua originalità e il suo talento, ricevendo elogi dalla critica musicale e un seguito di fan appassionati.
