Testo Eyes open wide Kj-52

Eyes open wide

I opened my eyes after I first prayed
It was a Thursday and I was just hurting in the worst way
It became the first hour of the first day
Of the first time in my life when everything now it first changed
And I remember when ya first came, my eyes were opened wide
When I cried and called on your first name
In my mind I was dealing with the worst pain
And every time I was feeling just the worst strain
Born into sin cause that's when the curse came
My life's a highway and I'm stuck up in the worst lane
I'm going nowhere and I can't even reverse things
But you opened up my eyes when your words came

Lord you opened up my eyes, my eyes are open wide

Chorus
My eyes are open wide (I was blind)
My eyes are open wide (But now I'm free)
My eyes are open wide (I was blind)
My eyes are open wide (but now I see)

Now sometimes life is truly hard
But now that my eyes are open wide
I see you for who you are
You light my way as the bright shining morning star
You give me the life and strength to be going far
And when this world had me pulled apart
You told me never give up, never give in, and keep on holding on
Knowing that you got my back keeps me going on
I'm focused on you while I walk the path I'm chosen on
Hoping on you is exactly what keeps me going strong
I'm going on through on track and rolling on
Holding to you even if these things be going wrong
My eyes are open wide you're the one I focus on

Chorus

Now that my eyes are open wide
I see you for who you are
I see you for what you are
Now that my eyes are open wide
I see you for who you are
I see you for what you are
