Tune-Yards è un duo musicale statunitense formatosi nel 2006 da Merrill Garbus e Nate Brenner. La cantautrice e polistrumentista Garbus, originaria di New Canaan, Connecticut, ha dato vita al progetto musicale che in seguito ha visto l'ingresso del polistrumentista Brenner come membro ufficiale nel 2009. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da un mix innovativo di indie pop, musica elettronica e folk, con testi spesso ironici e riflessivi. Garbus è nota per la sua voce potente e versatile, che spazia dal canto melodico a urla improvvise, mentre Brenner contribuisce con arrangiamenti musicali complessi e sperimentali. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Tune-Yards figurano "Gangsta", "Bizness" e "Powa", tratti dall'album di debutto del 2011, "Who Killed Patti Smith?".
