Periphery è una band progressive metal statunitense formatasi a Bethesda, nel Maryland, nel 2004. Considerati pionieri del genere djent, il loro sound si caratterizza per riff intricati, ritmi complessi e un uso innovativo di effetti digitali. La formazione attuale comprende Spencer Sotelo (voce), Misha Mansoor (chitarra), Jake Bowsher (basso), Matt Garstka (batteria) e Mark Holcomb (chitarra). I Periphery hanno pubblicato sette album in studio, tra cui l'acclamato "Periphery III: Select Difficulty" del 2016. I loro brani più rappresentativi includono "Scarlet", "Alpha", "Marigold" e "The Way the News Goes". La band ha collaborato con artisti come Animals as Leaders e The Contortionist, contribuendo a definire il panorama musicale progressive metal contemporaneo.
