Bowling for Soup è una band pop-punk proveniente da Wichita Falls, Texas, formatasi nel 1994. Il nome della band deriva dalla routine comica del 1978 di Steve Martin "Bowling for Shit", che suggerisce le tematiche spesso ironiche e divertenti dei loro testi. Il gruppo è composto da Jaret Reddick (voce, chitarra), Erik Chandler (basso, voce), Chris Burney (chitarra, voce) e Gary Wiseman (batteria, voce). Nel 1998 hanno pubblicato il loro album di debutto, *Rock On Honorable Ones!!*, con l'etichetta indipendente FFROE. Bowling for Soup ha raggiunto la popolarità internazionale negli anni 2000 con brani come "1985", "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" e "Almost". Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili, testi divertenti e un'energia contagiosa.
