Fatboy Slim, pseudonimo di Quentin Leo Cook, è un disc jockey, produttore discografico e beatmaker britannico nato a Bromley il 31 luglio 1963. Noto anche come Norman Cook e The BPA (acronimo di The Brighton Port Authority), ha raggiunto fama internazionale con il suo stile big beat, una fusione innovativa di hip hop, breakbeat, rock e R and B. Cook iniziò la sua carriera negli anni '80 come membro del gruppo The Housemartins, ottenendo successo con brani come "Car Boot of Love". Dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, si dedicò alla produzione musicale e al DJing, adottando il nome Fatboy Slim nel 1996. Il suo album di debutto, "Better Living Through Chemistry", pubblicato nel 1998, divenne un successo mondiale grazie a brani come "The Rockafeller Skank" e "Praise You". Fatboy Slim è considerato uno dei pionieri del big beat e ha influenzato generazioni di artisti elettronici. Tra i suoi album più importanti ricordiamo "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" (2000) e "Palookaville" (2004).
