Poisonblack è stata una band finlandese di gothic metal formata nel 2000 da Ville Laihiala, ex componente dei Sentenced. La band ha pubblicato quattro album in studio: *Escapexstacy* (2003), *Lust Stained Despair* (2006), *A Dead Heavy Day* (2008) e *Of Rust And Bones* (2010). Il loro sound si caratterizza per un mix di melodie dark, riff pesanti e atmosfere cupe. Poisonblack ha collaborato con artisti come Marco Hietala dei Nightwish e ha suonato in festival importanti come il Wacken Open Air. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Last Goodbye", "My Sweetest Enemy" e "A Dead Heavy Day".
