Il loro stile musicale si caratterizza per una combinazione di rime intricate, beat aggressivi e testi spesso ironici e satirici. Tra i loro album più noti ricordiamo "Def Squad Presents Erick Onasis" (1998) e "El Nino" (2004). Il gruppo ha collaborato con numerosi artisti del panorama hip hop americano, contribuendo a definire l'evoluzione del genere negli anni '90 e 2000.
