Shinedown è una band rock americana formatasi a Jacksonville, Florida, all'inizio del 2001. Il gruppo è composto da Brent Smith (voce), Zach Myers (chitarra), Eric Bass (basso) e Barry Kerch (batteria). Conosciuti per il loro sound potente e melodico, hanno raggiunto un grande successo negli Stati Uniti con album come "Leave a Whisper" (2003), "Us and Them" (2005) e "The Sound of Madness" (2008), quest'ultimo certificato multiplatino. Tra i loro brani più famosi figurano "Fly on the Wings of Love", "Second Chance", "Sound of Madness" e "Devour". Shinedown è stata una delle band rock più popolari degli anni 2010, con un seguito di fan fedele e numerosi tour internazionali.
