Manowar è una band heavy metal statunitense formatasi ad Auburn, New York, nel 1980. I membri fondatori sono il bassista Joey DeMaio e il chitarrista Ross the Boss. Considerati pionieri del power metal, Manowar si caratterizza per un sound epico e potente, con testi che celebrano la forza, l'eroismo e la leggenda. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Warriors of the World", "Hail to England" e "Kings of Metal". L'album di debutto, omonimo, risale al 1982 e ha segnato l'inizio di una carriera lunga e prolifica. Manowar è noto per i suoi concerti spettacolari e la fedele base di fan, che li hanno definiti "The Gods of Metal".
