William Thomas Ward, noto come Bill Ward, è un batterista e compositore britannico nato il 5 maggio 1948 a Staffordshire, Inghilterra. È uno dei quattro membri fondatori della leggendaria band heavy metal Black Sabbath, con la quale ha contribuito a definire il genere negli anni '70. Ward ha suonato con i Black Sabbath fino al 1980, partecipando a album fondamentali come "Paranoid", "Master of Reality" e "Vol. 4". Dopo una serie di collaborazioni e progetti solisti, è tornato a suonare con la band in diverse occasioni durante gli anni '80 e '90, prima di rientrare stabilmente nel 1997. Ward è noto per il suo stile di batteria potente e innovativo, caratterizzato da ritmi martellanti e un uso creativo del timbro. Tra i brani più rappresentativi in cui ha dimostrato la sua maestria troviamo "Iron Man", "War Pigs" e "Children of the Grave".
