Underoath è una band metalcore statunitense formatasi a Tampa, in Florida, nel 1998. Considerati pionieri del genere, hanno influenzato profondamente la scena musicale contemporanea. La loro musica si caratterizza per un mix di sonorità aggressive e melodie emozionali, con testi spesso introspettivi che esplorano temi di fede, dolore e speranza. Il gruppo ha pubblicato sette album in studio, tra cui "The Changing of Times" (2002), "Define the Great Line" (2004) e "Lost in the Sound of Separation" (2008). Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door", "Reinventing Your Exit" e "A Moment Suspended". Underoath ha collaborato con artisti come The Used e Killswitch Engage, contribuendo a definire l'estetica del metalcore degli anni 2000.
