Bob Seger, pseudonimo di Robert Clark Seger (Detroit, 6 maggio 1945), è un cantautore e musicista rock statunitense. Cresciuto a Dearborn, in Michigan, iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '60 suonando con diverse band locali come The Decibels, The Town Criers e Doug Brown and the Omens. Nel 1965 inciso il suo primo singolo con gli Omens. Dopo aver raggiunto una certa popolarità a Detroit, città nota per la sua scena musicale vibrante, Seger firmò un contratto discografico e pubblicò il suo album di debutto nel 1968. Il suo stile musicale, caratterizzato da riff bluesy, testi evocativi e melodie orecchiabili, conquistò rapidamente un vasto pubblico. Tra i suoi successi più noti figurano "Night Moves", "Old Time Rock and Roll", "Against the Wind" e "Hollywood Nights". Seger è noto per le sue esibizioni energiche e coinvolgenti, spesso accompagnato dalla sua band di supporto, la Silver Bullet Band. Nel 2004 è stato introdotto nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame e nel 2006 ha pubblicato l'album "Face the Promise", dimostrando ancora una volta il suo talento e la sua capacità di rimanere attuale.
