Shelter è una band hardcore punk fondata da Ray Cappo, noto per essere stato il cantante dei Youth of Today. La band, attiva dal 1987 al 1990 e poi di nuovo dal 2004 ad oggi, si distingue per l'integrazione del messaggio Hare Krishna nella musica hardcore. I testi di Shelter affrontano temi come la spiritualità, la compassione e la ricerca della pace interiore, pur mantenendo un sound aggressivo e potente tipico del genere hardcore. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Truth", "Shelter Song" e "No More Violence". La band ha pubblicato diversi album, tra cui "Speak What You Feel" (1988) e "Just Let Go" (1990), che hanno contribuito a diffondere il messaggio Hare Krishna all'interno della scena hardcore punk.
