Mark Schultz è un cantautore cristiano contemporaneo nato il 16 settembre 1970. Cresciuto a Colby, Kansas, si è laureato all'Università statale del Kansas con una laurea in marketing. Durante gli studi universitari è stato membro della fraternità Lambda Chi Alpha. Dopo la laurea si è trasferito a Nashville, Tennessee, dove ha lavorato per otto anni come leader di un gruppo di giovani presso la First Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) di Nashville. Schultz è stato nominato per numerosi Dove Awards, vincendone il primo nel 2006 quando l'album dal vivo "Mark Schultz Live: A Night of Stories and Songs" è stato premiato come Miglior video musicale di forma lunga. Attualmente risiede a Chapel Hill, Carolina del Nord. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Way", "You Are My Everything" e "I'm Not Alone".
