M, we ain't making any plans
Laying on your couch again
It's like you only want me here for you
But what about my friends?
You hate to see me out with them
'Cause they bring out the side of me you tried to make me forget, oh
You knew what it was, that night in the club
That's where you found me, ain't it?
I couldn't be cuffed, I thought I was down
But now my feelings changing
You're sick of my mouth, I'm sick of the house
And my damn phone keeps ringing
It's calling, it's calling, it's calling, it's calling, ooh
I miss the city when it's late at night
Sitting pretty, I should be outside
I'm sick of feeling like my hands are tied
Baby, all I do
Is pretend that this for me
When I know it ain't the truth
I miss the city, so I guess I'm going, going
With or without you
You wanna tell me what to do, tell me what to wear
You won't even let me let down my hair
You're never in the mood to take me anywhere
And it ain't really fair
I don't mean to be demanding
But you're moving way too Kansas
I'm afraid you're 'bout to lose me to the streets
He knew what it was that night in the club
Can I be honest? Lately
It's calling, it's calling, it's calling, it's calling, ooh
I miss the city when it's late at night
Sitting pretty, I should be outside
I'm sick of feeling like my hands are tied
Baby, all I do
Is pretend that this for me
When I know it ain't the truth
I miss the city so I guess I'm going, going
With or without you
I swear I really tried to be a good girl, a good girl for ya
I didn't wanna lie because the truth hurts, it might hurt for ya
So don't call me tonight because I'm outside and I might ignore ya
'Cause I ain't coming home, leave a message at the tone
I wanna be a good girl, good girl for ya (But I can't)
I wanna be a good girl, good girl for ya (But I can't)
I wanna be a good girl, a good girl for ya (But I can't)
I miss the city when it's late at night
Sitting pretty, I should be outside
I'm sick of feeling like my hands are tied
Baby, all I do
Is pretend that this for me
When I know it ain't the truth
I miss the city so I guess I'm going, going (Going)
With or without you
