Dirty Projectors sono un gruppo rock sperimentale con sede a Brooklyn, guidato da Dave Longstreth. Formati nel 2001, il gruppo è noto per la sua musica eclettica che fonde elementi di indie rock, folk, elettronica e avant-garde. La formazione attuale comprende Longstreth, Amber Coffman (voce, chitarra), Angel Deradoorian (voce, tastiera, campionamenti, chitarra, basso), Brian McOmber (batteria), Nat Baldwin (basso) e Haley Dekle (voce). Dirty Projectors hanno pubblicato sette album in studio fino al 2010, tra cui "Bitte Orca" (2009), considerato uno dei loro lavori più influenti.
