Puddle of Mudd è un gruppo rock statunitense formatosi a Kansas City, Missouri, nel 1991. Il loro successo è principalmente attribuito al frontman Wes Scantlin, che aveva già composto diverse canzoni durante la sua precedente esperienza musicale con una band omonima. Dopo aver pubblicato due album minori, *Stuck* (1994) e *Abrasive* (1997), Scantlin inviò un demo a Fred Durst dei Limp Bizkit, che lo aiutò a formare la nuova formazione di Puddle of Mudd. Il gruppo ha raggiunto il successo mainstream nel 2001 con l'album *Come Clean*, che include i singoli *Blurry* e *She Hates Me*. Altri album importanti includono *Life on Display* (2003) e *Famous* (2007). Puddle of Mudd è noto per il suo sound hard rock caratterizzato da riff pesanti, melodie orecchiabili e testi introspettivi.
