Spock's Beard è una band progressive rock formatasi a Los Angeles nel 1992 dai fratelli Neal e Alan Morse. Neal, tastierista e voce principale, era anche il principale compositore prima di lasciare la band nel 2002 per intraprendere una carriera solista. Alan suona la chitarra elettrica. La coppia ha collaborato con i musicisti Nick D'Virgilio (batteria) e Dave Meros (basso), pubblicando il loro album d'esordio, *The Light*, nel 1995. Al quartetto si è poi unito il veterano tastierista Ryo Okumoto. La band ha guadagnato popolarità per i suoi album complessi e melodici, spesso ispirati a temi fantascientifici e filosofici.
